Gannets

Made the trip to Bempton on Tuesday morning to catch up with my old
mate Steve Race, so it would have been plain rude not to photograph
the Gannets whilst I was there. Conditions were poor to say the least
with low cloud blocking out all signs of the sun, and it's a touch of
sunlight that you need to bring out the blue eye-ring and those lovely
lemon stripes on the feet. I know from experience that there are much
better shots to had when the conditions are right, so as the season
progresses I'll be back to try again.

Until next time, thanks for dropping by.

  1. The conditions may have been poor but your shots certainly ain't! I'm hoping to visit there myself in the next couple of months and I'll be more than happy if I get shots of this quality.
    Good work.

Really, you have taken nice shots of Gannets. They are in fantastic position. I would like to tell you that you have given me much knowledge about it. Thanks for sharing it.....

  5. Man alive you have high standards! I like shots in more subdued light sometimes - I suppose I have to living so far north!
