Black-headed Gulls

Here are some BhG shots from earlier in the week, this very common bird is very underrated and very under photographed IMO, whilst I was photographing these birds, one fellow photographer came up to me and in a round about way asked why I was wasting my time photographing BhG's, some people are so short sighted!!

Until next time, thanks for dropping by.

  1. You're so right Andy, I come across this attitude all the time from fellow photographers when I'm out and about and it does my head in! Gulls are great subjects, beautiful birds with bags of character - what more do you need!

A good photo is a good photo, irrespective of the species, and these are all brilliant photos - the second to last being particularly superb showing the marking on the top of the wing.

  3. I agree with you mate - my blog header has featured Black Headed Gulls for the past week. Cracking creatures, and your photographs capture their poses beautifully.
